CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Vinyasa Flow is a physically intense practice linking breath with movement. Students will be led through dynamic flow sequences by their teacher a few times and then be allowed to "flow" on their own for a significant portion of class. Vinyasa is a fast paced form of Yoga and works to build strength, balance, mindfulness, and heat through flowing movements and postures. This class is accompanied with loud, upbeat music (please be aware this class may contain explicit language and lyrics)*Students should have prior experience before taking this class. Room is heated to 99+ degrees.

Slow Burn classes are guided by the teacher throughout the entire yoga session. Instead of flowing, students slowly move into poses, allowing adequate time to explore sensations and deepen their focus. Many poses are held for a longer period of time, building internal heat and awareness.  Music may or may not accompany these classes. *Slow Burn classes are great for new and experienced students.

Yin Yoga is a restorative practice designed to ease our active bodies and minds. All the postures are practiced on the floor in a seated or laying position. Each posture is held for 3-5 minutes. Yin is the perfect compliment to our Vinyasa and Slow Burn practices, providing balance through deep relaxation.

Gentle Yoga classes are guided by the teacher throughout the entire class. Instead of flowing, students slowly move into poses focusing on breath awareness and sensation. During class, we will stay close to the earth where there are more grounding postures accompanied by lots of juicy, gentle, stretches. Music may or may not accompany this class.*This class is great for new and experienced students.*Room is heated to approximately 80 degrees

PREPARING FOR ONLINE CLASS

Take your practice anywhere!

Below are a few tips to help you prepare for your online practice.

Create a safe and quiet space where you will have limited distractions to practice yoga. Make sure you are well hydrated and refrain from eating any heavy meals at least 2-3 hours before class begins.

You will want to set up a bottle of water, towel, and any other equipment beside your mat before class begins so you won’t have to interrupt your own practice. Additionally, set your phone aside and take your watch off.

Beware, the moment you lay down your mat, kids and animal companions will most likely decide that they want to engage. Don’t let them derail your practice and instead, we encourage you to invite them in.

Finally, for those of you who want a little extra heat, we recommend getting 1-2 space heaters and placing them in the room, or on a hot summer day taking your practice outside
